Birth Control

Birth Control is designed to prevent pregnancy. You should consider the frequency of sexual activity, number of sexual partners, and future desire to have children when deciding Birth Control options.  There are two main types of birth control Pills: combination and progestin only. Combination pills contain synthetic (man-made) forms of the hormones estrogen and progestin. Most pills in each cycle are active, which contain hormones. Progestin-only pills contain progestin without estrogen. This type of pill is also called the minipill. Progestin-only pills are great choice for those whom are unable to take estrogen. The patch is a type of birth control that is worn on certain parts of the body which releases hormones through the skin. Birth Control does not prevent against HIV/STD’s.
